Let's talk about the instrument of your dreams!

For me, everything starts with the musician's dream - the dream of the perfect instrument. That's how a unique guitar or bass is born in my workshop.From the wood's choice (I work exclusively with FSC certified, traditional luthérie species) to the last setup, I build each guitar personally, working on one instrument at a time.

Concept

My instruments have a retro-futuristic design: They look as if someone would have designed them back in the 50's, trying to anticipate the looks of a guitar from the 21st. Century. My design priorities are playability, sound, and beauty, all interacting to create a great guitar or bass. My main influences come from the 50's and the 60's: cartoons ("The Jetsons", for example) and those fantastic concept cars that never made it into production.

Brand name

Based on the feedback from my customers and the tradition of the ancient luthiers, my instruments are now "Leonardo Lospennato's". Is that about ego? Far from it. Is the confidence and honesty of putting your own name behind your work.
